Getting hoarded by necromorphs was as intense as always, especially in small claustrophobic spaces but still I don't think the Dead Space universe is made for action oriented gameplay rather than the more survival horror focused aspect of the previous 2 games.
Chopping off the limbs doesn't seem as big of a priority since you get a shitton of ammo and you can build some absolutely disgustingly overpowered weapons that shred through anything in a matter of seconds. Does it really feel like Dead Space though? I wouldn't say so.
